Koh Libong is the largest island of Trang province in Southern Thailand, where the locals live a very traditional way of life. There is one main road, one pier, and less than 10 cars as most people get around by motorbike or ‘samlor’.
Big brands and developers are yet to arrive on Libong Island, there are no 7/11’s, no ATM machines and only one mini-mart, but plenty of family stores and markets. The island’s economy is not reliant on tourism but driven by fishing and rubber tree farming which is what makes this island so natural and unique.
Le Dugong Libong Beach Resort is situated on the west coast on the most beautiful beach on the island. The 1.5 kilometre golden sand beach gently slopes towards the Andaman Sea which is calm and clear, ideal for snorkelling and swimming. The resort faces the tiny Koh Lao Sa Island offshore and is backed by lush forested mountains and mangrove forests, providing stunning views in all directions.
